Soon you'll be Under The Tuscan Sun!

The Under The Tuscan Sun movie poster
With just about every Tour Group we organize for Tuscany, someone reaches out to us to say: "Wow, did you know you can rent Villa Bramasole?

Bramasole is the famous Tuscan Villa immortalized in Frances Mayes best-selling book and autobiography Under The Tuscan Sun, and later in the movie of the same name starring Diane Lane...

And if you've read the book, or have seen the blockbuster movie, this would of course peak your interest... It did ours!!!  And we checked it out many years ago!

The Villa they'll tell you is Bramasole

A villa brokerage company very carefully promotes this Villa as "The famous Villa from the movie Under The Tuscan Sun..."  and it is indeed that very thing; The Villa from the movie...  and many people pay a premium price to stay in what they think is Frances Mayes Italian Villa!

the real Villa Bramasole with Frances Mayes and
her husband Ed on the front steps

The only problem is that it's not the famous Villa that Frances Mayes jumped off the bus for in Cortona, bought & remodeled, and wrote the famous book about while living in Italy...  It's just a "Hollywood stage model" of that home!  We looked at possibly leasing it many years ago, and that's when we found out...

The real Villa Bramasole is of course not for rent...  Frances Mayes still lives there, and we have it on good accord that she's financially set and doesn't need to rent it out!

But we can pretty much guarantee you, you'll have no regrets about where you'll be staying! The Villa you'll be living in while on your Adventures to Tuscany expedition will blow you away!

some of our guests just can't enough of the pool... and
yes, you can have drinks at & in the pool but only with
our special plastic pool glasses...

As you've seen from previous posts, Villa Marangole (mah-rang-go-lay) on the Castello di Albola Wine and Olive Oil Estate is magnificent! Its hilltop setting in the middle of Albola's 2200 acres of vineyards & olive orchards is just outstanding and offers views to die for, out over the Chianti Hills!

This Villa is no johnny-come-lately or Hollywood reproduction; it's a very authentic 400 year old stone castle style Villa with 2 foot thick stone walls and the original exposed 18" hand-hewn chestnut beams & terra-cotta tiles throughout the structure... You'll find real, functioning 3 inch thick wooden shutters with hammered iron hardware on your doors & windows, and exposed terra-cotta tiles in the ceilings...

This is the real deal!  And you'll see it & feel it as you walk through the Villa...  We hope you're getting excited!  You're gonna love this place!
